Test pilots are working with high altititudes this week with Santa’s sleigh.
This is very important testing because Santa has to go as high as the Internation Space Station, which is, of course, in orbit.
This means the sleigh has to have extraordinary capabilities not seen in any other flight vehicle on earth. Santa, the reindeer and the sleigh all have to be able to endure the environment of space and the violent re-entry of the vehicle into Earth’s atmosphere.
Of course, flight engineers have a great deal of experience with this after having sent Santa safely into space each Christmas since the 1960s.
Still, it requires a lot of testing and that will happen over various areas of the globe this week.
